DefinitionCount of children who have received School Readiness services from an informal care provider. An informal provider is any legal but non-regulated child care, subject to health and safety requirements, that is provided by a relative or non-relative in the child’s home or other location.
CalculationYear-to-date unique count of children by county, coalition, or state. To be included in the results, the child must have received School Readiness payments during the report period that sum to a value greater than 0 at an informal child care provider.
NotesA distinct child is defined as the unique combination of a child ID with a date of birth.
